E. Kate Cohn has worked with Andrea Lyon since 2019, and she enthusiastically joins the Lyon & Kerr team as a fierce advocate for the firm’s clients. Ms. Cohn works tirelessly to understand the details of each case and to find the facts or errors that may have been overlooked by prior attorneys. She specializes in appellate writing and all stages of the post-conviction process.
Ana Garrett
Ana Garrett joined the Law Office of Robert Kerr as Office Manager in 2022. She currently manages the firm and always strives to provide exceptional legal services to clients and their families. Ana is originally from Phoenix, Arizona and received her B.A. in Government with an emphasis in Legal Studies. Ana moved to Chicago in hopes of going to law school and getting involved in criminal defense and civil rights work.
Kathleen Dorsey
Kathleen joined Lyon Law LLC as a law clerk in 2024. She is passionate about criminal defense, and devotes her time to ensuring that the firm runs smoothly and cases are organized and well-researched. Kathleen is a student at Loyola Chicago School of Law and expects to graduate in May 2025. Prior to law school, she worked for 10 years in Journalism and Communications with The Times Media Company and Northern Indiana Public Service Company (NIPSCO). She received her B.A. in Journalism and Spanish from Ball State University in 2009.
Ana Alvarado
Ana Alvarado joined The Law Office of Robert Kerr in October 2024 as a legal assistant. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Northeastern Illinois University (NEIU), providing her with a strong understanding of law, public service, and advocacy. With experience in workers’ compensation and medical malpractice law, Ana brings valuable experience to her role. As a bilingual Spanish speaker, she can connect with and support a diverse range of clients.
